Designer Profile: Preston Bailey

If I ever have the opportunity to plan the fantasy event of my wildest dreams, the first person I would call would be Event and Wedding Designer, Preston Bailey. He truly can turn an empty space into your dream world filled with opulent floral arrangements and decor. Honestly, no one does it better. Where most would stop, he takes it ten steps further. Fully designing every inch and detail of a space. If you can dream it, he can translate it into reality.

I’m also a fan of Preston’s blog. He gives very candid advice, industry tips and offers inspiration for planning events. I love this quote from his blog, it truly speaks to the essence of who he is.

George Bernard Shaw once said: “You see things and say, ‘Why?’
But I dream things that never were and say, ‘Why not?’

If you’re a wedding or event professional, Preston Bailey offers an expert online course through Lovegevity’s Wedding Planning Institute. Go here for details.

Designer Profile: Kelly Wearstler

As of late, I’ve been on this super girly, vintage modern, old hollywood glam kick. Well, no one combines all of these styles better than designer, Kelly Wearstler. Her style is bold, theatrical and all about glam. Her portfolio spans from private residences to such commercial projects as the Viceroy Santa Monica hotel and BG Restaurant at Bergdorf Goodman in Manhattan.

Kelly doesn’t stop at interiors, she also designs home furnishings, textiles, rugs and as of Fall 2011 an accessories and ready-to-wear clothing line. These varied collections can now be found at her flagship boutique on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Kelly Wearstler is one of the hardest working designers out there! She lives to create and I am head over heels for her creations.

Furniture Designer: Azadeh Shladovsky

Los Angeles-based designer Azadeh Shladovsky imbues organic materials and forms with a sleek glamour all her own… via Elle Decor

I love Azadeh’s style! The materials are rough and organic but she’s completely transformed them. Each piece is sassy and glamourous! Truly works of art.
